Police Search For Suspect In Robbery Of Long Island 7-Eleven

Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a 7-Eleven on Long Island.

The robbery happened in Bellerose Terrace at 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

A man walked behind the counter at the store, located at 255-08 Jericho Turnpike, and pushed the 63-year-old clerk, demanding money and threatening to stab him if he didn't comply, NCPD said.

The clerk complied and opened the cash register, and the suspect left with an unknown amount of money and multiple packs of cigarettes, police said.

The suspect fled the scene in a gray sedan, traveling west on Jamaica Avenue, NCPD said.

Police said the suspect was described as a Black man who is about 6 feet tall and weighs between 325 and 350 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, a snow hat, and a blue surgical mask, authorities said.
