It happened on Friday, Sept. 20 at 9:45 p.m. in Uniondale.

The pedestrian, a 58-year-old man, was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling southbound on Uniondale Avenue, Nassau County Police said. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released. 

The investigation is ongoing.
