The male victim died around 10 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8 in Hempstead, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, Hempstead Police Department responded to an auto accident at the intersection of Jackson Street and Main Street.
The accident involved a 2001 Ford Cargo Van, heading eastbound on Jackson Street and a motorcycle heading northbound on Main Street.
The driver of the van was not injured and remained at the scene, police said.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
The investigation is ongoing.
