Man, Woman Clinging To Jet Ski Rescued Off Long Island Coast

A man and woman clinging to a jet ski submerged on Long Island were rescued.

The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 13 at around 1:45 p.m. in Wantagh.

According to Nassau County Police, while on routine patrol, Marine 1 spotted the two clinging to a jet ski that was submerged in Bellmore Channel. 

Officers were able to pull the passengers, a 25-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old man, to safety. 

Both individuals were transported to Wantagh Marina. Neither passenger suffered an injury.
