Man Wanted For Using Stolen Credit Card At Several Suffolk County Stores

A man used a credit card stolen from a Long Island gym at several stores before fleeing in a white van, police said.

The Suffolk County Police Department issued an alert to the public as they attempt to locate a man using a credit card taken from Patchogue last October.

According to police, the credit card was stolen from an unlocked locker at L.A. Fitness on Gateway Boulevard at approximately 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The stolen card was later used at BJ’s Wholesale Club, Home Depot and a BP gas station, “among others.”

Police said that the man was also caught leaving one of the stores in a white van.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or by submitting an anonymous tip online.
