Man Holds Up Long Island Convenience Store At Gunpoint

Police are asking the public for help locating a man who allegedly held up a Long Island convenience store at gunpoint.

The robbery took place around 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 29, at the Express C-Store in Valley Stream, Nassau County Police said.

According to detectives, a Black man entered the store located at 749 West Merrick Road purchased a can of soda. 

While at the register the man allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the clerk, 53, demanding that he hand over the cash from the register. 

He then reached into the register obtaining an undetermined amount of money and left the store eastbound on West Merrick Road, police said.

The man is described as 6-feet, with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, a white mask, and black sneakers. 

 No injuries were reported.
