Segundo Quiroga Puma, 38, of Queens, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 10, for the event which took place in Garden City on Monday, Dec. 23, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, Puma allegedly entered the backyard of a residence on Brompton Road and attempted to enter the garage through a rear door but was unsuccessful.
He then allegedly removed a folding chair from a shed, placed it against a rear bedroom window and looked into the home.
Puma then proceeded to inappropriately touch himself, police said.
Two people in different parts of the home were alerted to the incident by their security camera, police said.
The victims called Garden City Police. The defendant fled the scene before police arrived on the scene.
Puma was charged with an attempt at burglary, and trespassing.
