ID Released For Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Long Island Crash, Police Say

Police have released the identity of a man who was killed while riding as a passenger in a vehicle that crashed on Long Island.

Keith Bailey, 47, of Queens Village, was killed around 12:48 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, when the 1995 Mitsubishi he was a passenger in slammed into a tree in Woodmere, said the Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, the crash occurred when a 47-year-old man was driving his vehicle southwest in the vicinity 1044 Peninsula Boulevard when he lost control and struck a tree, police said.

The unidentified driver was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment for upper body trauma and is in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
