ID Released For Man Found Dead In Long Island Residence

The identity has been released for a man found dead in a Long Island residence, leading to a homicide investigation.

Nassau County Police Third Precinct police responded just after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2 for an aided at an abandoned residence in New Cassel at 1113 Broadway.

Upon police arrival, officers observed a man, now identified as Wilmer Maldonado Rodriguez, 36, deceased in the rear of the structure.

Detectives were then called to investigate a homicide.
