Husband's Remains Among Items Stolen In Long Island Apartment Burglary, Police Say

The remains of an elderly Long Island woman’s late husband were among the items stolen during a burglary, police said.

Detectives from the Nassau County Police Department received a report of a burglary that happened on Pea Pond Road at approximately 12:45 p.m. in North Bellmore on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

According to police, the 82-year-old homeowner reported that she came home and found her living room and bedroom had been ransacked, and her wallet and a gold-colored box containing her husband’s remains were taken during the burglary.
