A Holbrook man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Ronkonkoma that left the car fully engulfed in flames in Ronkonkoma.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, westbound on Veterans Memorial Highway, said the Suffolk County Police.
According to police, Robert M. Nolan Jr., 52, was driving a 2015 Honda Accord westbound on Veterans Memorial Highway when the vehicle veered off the roadway near Johnson Avenue and struck a metal utility pole. The vehicle caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames, police said.
Nolan was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
