Group Stages Violent Fight At Suffolk Walmart, Creating Panic, Police Say

A man is facing multiple charges after a group staged a violent altercation at a Walmart on Long Island, police said.

The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 2 at about 12:40 p.m. at the Commack Walmart located at 85 Crooked Hill Road. Suffolk County Police said.

During the incident, they yelled about a shooting while producing a prank video to post on social media for shock value. The incident created mass panic throughout the store.

Following an investigation, Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers arrested Marcquis Graham, 24, of Philadelphia, on Thursday, Dec. 5 in Ronkonkoma. 

He was charged with second-degree riot, unlawful assembly, second-degree criminal nuisance, second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

Graham was scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday, Dec. 6.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
