Dozens Of Dirt Bike, ATV Riders Wanted For Reckless Driving On Sunrise Highway, Police Say

Police investigators on Long Island are seeking the public’s assistance in tracking down dozens of members of a group that created chaos by driving dirt bikes and ATVs recklessly on Sunrise Highway.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police First Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a group of people who drove dirt bikes and ATVs recklessly earlier this week.

The Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County First Precinct Crime Section officers are attempting to locate the group of as many as 70 who drove dirt bikes and ATVs from Brentwood into Nassau County on Sunday, Sept. 15.

In an attempt to locate the suspects, investigators released a photo of one of the riders who was with the group in front of the Sunrise Highway service road in West Babylon at approximately 5:09 p.m. on the day of the ride.

A reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to arrests has been offered by the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. Anyone with information regarding the riders has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or texting “SCPD” and the message to 274637.
