It happened on Saturday, Nov. 16 at approximately 3 a.m. in West Islip.

Brandon Johnson of West Islip, was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger northbound on Udall Road when he lost control of the vehicle under the Route 27 overpass and crashed into a concrete pillar, Suffolk County Police said.

Johnson was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip in serious condition.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
