It happened on Thursday, July 18 at around 5:10 p.m. at Searingtown Road and Old Searingtown Road in Searingtown, Nassau County Police said.

The 20-year-old driver was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead by a staff physician, according to police. His identity has not yet been announced.

The 29-year-old man operating the second vehicle involved in the crash was also transported to an area hospital for non- life-threatening injuries.

The investigation of the crash is ongoing.
