2 Men Remove Safe, Other Items From Unlocked Long Island Home, Police Say

Police on Long Island are seeking the public's help in identifying two men who allegedly entered a home and made off with a safe with cash and a duffel bag with clothes and other items.

The incident took place in Baldwin around 1:20 a.m. Monday, March 20, on Anderson Street.

According to Nassau County detectives, two men entered an unoccupied residence located on Anderson Street through an unlocked rear door. 

They removed a safe that contained an undetermined amount of cash, along with a duffle bag that contained miscellaneous items and clothing, police said.

The men fled southbound on Essex Court in a light-colored SUV.

The first suspect is described as a heavily built Black male, wearing all-black clothing, red sneakers, a black hat, and a black facemask.

The second suspect is described as being of medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, black sneakers, and a black facemask.
