Andrew Frey, 54, of Coram, was arrested Friday, Nov. 15, by the FBI and the Suffolk County Police Department.

Frey is charged with attempted trafficking by force and attempted kidnapping, said the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

According to court documents, Frey who is married with two children is employed as a manager at an aircraft components factory called Sage Manufacturing.

Frey allegedly has a history of violence against sex workers and had arranged separate meetings with two women and tried to take them to a secluded location by force, the documents said.

In both cases, the women separately escaped by jumping out of his moving vehicle.

Prosecutors said Frey planned to kidnap the female sex workers with the intent of forcing them to engage in commercial sex acts.

Court documents show that even after the women escaped, Frey continued to attempt to contact and threaten the women.

Evidence recovered from his home today included rope, zip-ties, and manuals on knot-tying.

Prosecutors are asking for Frey to be detained without bail after receiving information from other sex workers of similar behavior with them by Frey.

Anyone who believes they have been a victim of Frey, are asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
