Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are on the lookout for the person or people who allegedly damaged the grass at a golf course in Port Jefferson.
Police say one or more individuals poured an unknown substance onto five greens at the Port Jefferson Country Club (44 Fairway Drive) and caused damage to the grass between Monday, April 8 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, April 9 at 7 a.m.
The cost to repair the damages is estimated at $10,000, police say.
