A woman was killed after being struck by two vehicles on a busy Long Island roadway has been identified.

The incident happened on Tuesday, March 3 at about 7:20 p.m. in Massapequa.

While attempting to cross the street in front of 6150 Sunrise Highway (Route 27), the woman, now identified as Gwendolyn Manning, 59, of Massapequa, was struck by a westbound 2003 Ford Crown Victoria operated by an 18-year-old male, according to Nassau County Police.

Manning was then struck by a second vehicle traveling westbound, a 2016 Kia SUV operated by a 73-year-old man, said police.

As a result of the collision, Manning suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
