Walt Whitman Shops, 160 Walt Whitman Road, Huntington Station: There are more than 80 stores with Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor, Macy's and Saks Fifth Avenue and plenty more added in a recent upgrade. A large Apple store is here. And no food court but good dining options, from Brio Tuscan Grille, California Pizza Kitchen, The Cheesecake Factory, and P.F. Chang's
ML of New York posted on Yelp, "I love Walt Whitman mall. They have some really nice shops, most of the high-end names that you desire. It's also very clean and just pleasing to walk around in there. Come with a fat wallet and leave with a big smile."
Westfield South Shore, 1701 Sunrise Highway, Bay Shore: There are Aeropostale to Yankee Candle Co., with plenty of retail options in between; a food court and Cheesecake Factory, and soon, Takumi Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi restaurant will open here.
On Google, a reviewer posted, "Great mall..clean, not crowded. Great places to bring the kids."
"Love it. So many stores. Nice people and I would go there every day if I could."
Smith Haven Mall, 313 Smith Haven Mall, Lake Grove: A Brazilian-American steakhouse just opened, and there are more than 130 stores, L.L. Bean, H&M, and White House Black Market included.
This week someone reviewed it on Google. "Have been going to (Smith Haven Mall) for 5 decades. Despite several design changes and stores coming and going it's still a place where I feel like I'm at home."
Another Google comment says, "The best mall on Long Island. One of the finest food courts I've seen. Centrally located for all of Suffolk County. Plenty of parking if your willing to walk."
Tanger Outlets, 152 The Arches Circle, Deer Park: It has more than 100 stores, a multi-screen cinema, outdoor skating rink and lots of restaurants. John R. in a Google review posted in May, "Great outdoor mall pretty much any store you can think of is here my only knock on this place and the reason why does it get 5 stars I feel it should have some really high-end stores as well, but overall it's a very good mall and enjoy coming here.
Tanger Outlets, 200 Tanger Mall Drive, Riverhead: There's plenty of shopping, J. Crew, Kate Spade New York, Tommy Hilfiger and a bunch more and entertainment —a block party with sidewalk art, kite decorating, and food trucks is on Memorial Day Weekend.
"I love how much this outlet has to offer," says a March post on Google. "They have some of the best stores in the area, and most of the stores have coupons and specials for any hunting for bargains," the review says.
