Located at 90 North Country Road, Orto was opened in November 2011. Known for its gourmet Italian offerings and its rustic atmosphere, Orto sits within an older renovated home with red brick walls and a large dining area in the back.

On the menu, you’ll find a wide range of classic Italian fare such as house-made pasta, chicken, veal and eggplant parmigiana, slow-cooked pork braciola and many more. Menu items also change daily and weekly based on seasonal ingredients.

Orto is also unique from other Italian eateries on Long Island because guests are permitted to bring their own wine without a corkage fee. Of course, you can also take your pick from a number of fresh craft cocktails like the Pomegranate Martini, the Blood Orange Bellini and the Jim Lehey.

If you’re eager to sample several different menu items, consider stopping by for one of Orto’s prix fixe dinners. Two-course pasta dinners are served Tuesday through Thursday for $28, three-course dinners are served Tuesday through Sunday for $43 and four-course dinners are served Tuesday through Sunday for $53.

It’s no surprise that Orto has earned stellar ratings on Facebook (4.7/5) and Yelp (4.5/5) after nearly a decade in business. Guests continually compliment the restaurant’s atmosphere, service and commitment to cuisine quality.

“I love Orto and have been there many times. The lasagna is fantastic. The lemon ricotta for an appetizer is a must-have. Every time I go, I bring wine or prosecco. There isn't a corkage fee, and they bring an ice bucket. There are many different entrees on the menu for adventurous eaters as well as the typical fare,” writes Jill M. in a Dec. 10 Yelp review.

Orto is open for dinner six days a week. For more information, visit the website.
