All American Hamburger Drive-In in Massapequa at 4286 Merrick Road is a town fixture since 1963 though the decor is 50s drive-in and the fare hasn't been updated since, a good thing, nor have the prices, really cheap.

The old-school fast-food joint serves the same family recipes of burgers, fries and shakes in a counter-service setup to eat in or carry out.

The eatery has plenty of local and out of town fans.

Massapequa resident Daniel L., says on Yelp, "Five words, 18 letters, say it and I'm yours, "I got you All American!"

Agta B. of Manhattan on Yelp says going there is "a summer tradition." "They have a small menu, no-frills, affordable but done very well," she wrote in a post, calling the burgers "fresh and delicious" and the fries "crispy and perfectly salty."

Sandra N. of Seaford posted on Yelp, "This place is an institution. People come from all over just to get their great food. Burgers franks and knishes are awesome."
