There are plenty of seafood restaurants in Suffolk County. Here are six making a splash.

The Steamroom, 4 E. Broadway, Port Jefferson: Eat in or outside at this restaurant by the harbor. It's casual with lots of fresh seafood fare.

Rich Ramirez, a Google reviewer posted, "Place is awesome. Been going here for years. Best night is Wednesday for lobster dinner special. Dog-friendly in the back, especially in the summertime."

Popei's Clam Bar Coram, 451 Middle Country Road, Coram: They have a fish-centric menu with all-you-can-eat specials, a tiki bar and live music. The place is casual with light wooden tables and paneled walls, one with a beachy mural.

A post by Denice Larose on Google review says, "My go-to for the Alaskan king crab legs and I'm never disappointed and the staff is amazing, friendly and have been there since I'm going over 25 years. That says a lot about the owners."

PJ Lobster House, 1 N. Country Road, Port Jefferson: Restaurant and fish market specializing in fresh lobster, with a large interior and daily specials.

Sarah Martin, a Google reviewer posted, "I really enjoy their lobster specials, which come with a salad and a full course for an extremely fair price. I also really love their crab leg specials."

Sea Basin, 642 NY-25A, Rocky Point: Old-fashioned and long-running area restaurant serving Italian and seafood.

A Google reviewer, Daisy Murphy, called a recent experience "delightful" in a review. It continues, "Our night started with an amazing eggplant rollatini then a pound and one-half lobster stuffed to perfection. My mother had the local fresh-caught tuna which was cooked perfectly medium-rare. Our server Dena suggested it with a wine to pair. We had a delicious dinner at Sea Basin."

Jerry and the Mermaid, 469 E. Main St., Riverhead: They serve fresh seafood and "simple fish dishes" says their website. Theirs is casual and waterfront and they have karaoke and late hours.

Rick G., of Brooklyn, says in a Yelp review, "This was a great unexpected surprise. The location was quaint, service was as phenomenal as the food."
