SterlingRisk Insurance has launched a “Lunch is on us” campaign as a way to say thank you to the front line workers with catered lunches.

“In every neighborhood and community across Long Island, there are unsung heroes going to work to help those in need during this unprecedented time,” said SteringRisk CEO David Sterling. “We wanted to thank them for their efforts and ultimately decided on the men and women who staff our region’s nursing homes and senior living residences."

To make the lunches happen, the company's staff is coordinating with administrators, researching which restaurants make deliveries, and taking care of all the details so that these workers can enjoy a break from their busy schedules, Sterling said.

"We’ve already had deliveries made to several senior care facilities and look forward to providing additional ‘Lunch is on us’ days over the coming weeks," he added.

Already receiving catered staff lunches from SterlingRisk were Sunharbor Manor, Roslyn; St Johnland Nursing Center, Kings Park, and St. Catherine of Siena Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center, Smithtown.

Jefferson’s Ferry of Centereach is scheduled for the coming week.
