Milano's Burger Shack Drawing Big Crowds In Coram

Customers file in and out all day on weekends at Milano's Burger Shack in Coram burgers, hot dogs, and fries, and homemade toppings, from chili, to pulled pork and cheese sauces.

"It's pretty much nonstop from the time we open (11 a.m. to 9 p.m.) on Fridays and Saturdays until after we close. There are still customers coming," said owner Wayne Miller.

"The kids love the burgers and my older customers like the crab cakes My grandmother has been gone for 40 years and I still make them the same way," he continued.

Miller used to work at a nearby laboratory and used to stop in for lunch at the restaurant with previous owners known as Burger Shack.

"I liked coming in so when I was looking for a business I thought of Burger Shack. I changed the name to Milano's Burger Shack," he said.

The menu includes wings, lighter options like turkey and veggie burgers, grilled chicken and salads, and smoked barbecue brisket or ribs on weekends.
