DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A fast-moving storm system that will arrive in Dutchess overnight could impact the Friday morning commute and result in school delays and possibly even some closings.
There is some good news, though, as Dutchess is likely to be spared from any significant accumulating snow. Areas farther south in the Hudson Valley, however, could see 2 or even 3 inches of accumulation.
There is a slight chance of snow between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Thursday, then a chance of snow showers after 11 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Accumulation of less than a half-inch is possible.
The window for snow showers will continue until around 9 a.m. Friday. New snow accumulation of less than a half-inch is possible.
The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy with a high around freezing but the wind-chill factor making it feel more like it's between 20 and 25.
Saturday will be partly sunny and brisk with a high n the upper 20s.
