Route 44 Ramp Closure Scheduled In Town of Poughkeepsie

There will be temporary delays on Route 44 in Dutchess County this week as contractors close down an exit ramp for several hours to conduct construction work in Poughkeepsie.

The New York State Department of Transportation announced that beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 29, there will be an exit ramp closure eastbound on Route 44 (Haight Avenue) at Main Street / Dutchess Turnpike, weather permitted.

The closure is expected to last through 11:30 a.m.

During the closure, the NYSDOT said motorists can expect possible delays and a detour will be posted. There is expected to be signage and flaggers in the area to assist with the flow of traffic.
