Lane Closure Scheduled On Busy Route 44 Stretch

The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of an upcoming lane closure on Route 44.

A single lane closure is scheduled for Route 44 eastbound and westbound between Victory Lane and James Street in the Dutchess County town of Poughkeepsie, the NYSDOT says.

The Department says that a single lane closure is scheduled for Route 44 eastbound and westbound between Victory Lane and James Street in the Dutchess County town of Poughkeepsie.

The lane is scheduled to close Saturday, Nov. 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. while crews perform maintenance activities, weather permitting.

During this time, motorists are advised to use extra caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to traffic control devices like signs and flaggers.

Additionally, motorists should anticipate minor delays and plan accordingly, the NYSDOT says.
