Marist Hoops Star Jarosz Earns Metro Atlantic Player Of The Week Award

CORTLAND MANOR, N.Y. -- Marist College student Tori Jarosz of Cortlandt Manor has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the sixth time in her career and the fourth time this season, the conference announced Monday.

Jarosz set a career high in points scored, along with averaging 26.5 points per game, 14.5 rebounds per game and 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting 63 percent from the field and 93 percent from the free throw line. 

In the Red Foxes' first game of the week against Quinnipiac, Jarosz had a game-high 24 points on 9-for-15 shooting and 11 rebounds to go along with three assists. 

The Red Foxes' second game of the week saw Jarosz put in a career effort, leading the team past Fairfield with a game-winning layup with 1.8 seconds remaining. 

Jarosz led the Red Foxes with a career-high 29 points on 11-for-17 shooting from the field and 7-for-7 from the free throw line to go along with 18 rebounds, good for her 22nd double-double of the year. 

On Saturday, Marist women's basketball team will host Senior Day against Canisius.

The Red Foxes will attempt to sell out their eighth game in program history Saturday night at McCann Arena.
