Megan O. Kelly has been charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated -- she allegedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more -- failing to maintain her lane, and driving at a "speed not reasonable and prudent," police said.

Just after 1 p.m. Saturday, Officers Kahn and Doherty were sent to investigate a report of a one-car accident on Barger Street. They met Kelly, who allegedly identified herself as the driver, police said.

The officers allege that she was driving north on Barger Street, with that high blood alcohol content; lost control of her car; crossed into the other lane; and crashed into trees in the front yard of 3875 Barger St., police said.

Kelly was arrested at the scene and taken to Yorktown police headquarters and charged. She's due in court at the Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Oct. 4, police said.
