POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y. -- A Monday morning police pursuit of suspects in a stolen car case prompted a temporary school alert at four City of Poughkeepsie schools, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.
The stolen car was spotted at about 8:30 a.m. on Grubb Street. Officers used a K-9 unit to help find the suspects, but to no avail, The Poughkeepsie Journal reports.
The schools placed on temporary high alert were Poughkeepsie High School, Poughkeepsie Middle School, G. W. Krieger Elementary School and the Early Learning Center at W. W. Smith School. No one could enter or leave the buildings during the alert, The Poughkeepsie Journal says.
