POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Town of Poughkeepsie Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man in his 70s who attempted to rob the Citizens Bank on Monday.
Police said the man walked into the bank at 12:27 p.m. at 32 Vassar Road and demanded money. He did not display a weapon and was last seen leaving the bank on foot, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5-foot-8, and slim, wearing glasses and a plaid shirt with a dark zip-up jacket and a baseball cap with a logo similar to the Houston Astros, police said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the event, or was in the area and may have seen the suspect, are asked to contact the Town of Poughkeepsie Detective Division at 845-485-3670.
