Raul M. Plaza, 51, was arrested for the crimes following a month-long investigation into him allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a child, said Capt. John Watterson.
The investigation was conducted by the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center with the assistance of the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.
Plaza has been charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, and is accused of engaging in a continual course of sexual conduct against a child less than 13 years old, Watterson said.
He is being held at the Dutchess County Jail without bail and is due to appear in court on May 8.
