Duo Nabbed For 2020 Murder Of Poughkeesie Man

On Monday, March 2, 2020, the body of 64-year-old Paul Thompson was found in his apartment at 399 Main Street; his death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner's office, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark.

On Sunday, Feb. 12, two City of Poughkeepsie men were charged for their part in Thompson's death including Consuelo Leonard, age 45, and Rodarius Smith, age 35, Clark said. 

Both were arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.

Thompson was found after police responded to his home for a welfare check. Police have not revealed how he died.
