PARAMUS, N.J. – Virginia Schmidt – a Belvidere resident, formerly of Long Island – died on Tuesday, March 21. She was 83.
Before she retired, Schmidt worked for the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union Local 342 as a meat wrapper.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Schmidt and his wife Kay of Paramus; granddaughter Yuna Tsuji; and siblings Harold Schmidt, Madeline Kuil and her husband Bill, and Carolyn Drawbridge and her husband Jim.
Schmidt was preceded by her sister, Mary Leombruno, and her sister-in-law, Ann.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. and noon and 2-4 p.m. on Friday, March 24, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., in Paramus, with a 3:30 p.m. funeral service. Cremation will be private.
