Isabelle Diamond, 88, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Isabelle Diamond, of Poughkeepsie, died on Thursday, Dec. 15. She was 88.

Born in Yonkers, on Sept. 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Christopher and Isabella (Controne) Ferine. On October 13, 1949, she married Lawrence Diamond in Elkton, MD.  She was a homemaker and a local resident since 1963. She will always be remembered for her love of Bingo, going to Atlantic City with her husband, as well as her clean and immaculate home that she kept pristine. 

She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence.

She is survived by her sons, Lawrence and his wife Andrea and Christopher and his wife Gina; brother, Michael Ferine; her sister, Tecla Shaw; grandchildren, Mark, Marissa, and Greg; and great-grandchild, Jordan. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Victoria McNair; and grandson, "Mikey." 

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A service will be offered at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
