Helen P. Anson, 84, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Helen P. Anson, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, June 28. She was 84.

Born Nov.26, 1931, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Ethel Gover.

On April 17, 1963, she married Douglas Anson.

She had been employed as a bookkeeper at Bennett College in Millbrook until it’s closing and then became a bookkeeper at Migdale Estate in Millbrook until she retired.

She is survived by her two sons Kevin "Poncho" Anson and his wife Cheryl and their two children, Leslie and Cory of Millbrook and Joey Sorrentino of Poughkeepsie; two grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Gover of Clinton Corners and Dick Gover of Millbrook; brother-in-law Butch and his wife Shirley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Bill Gover and Bud Gover.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Funeral Home in Pleasant Valley.
