WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Gloria D. Muhlbauer, a resident of Wappingers Falls, died Saturday, July 23. She was 94.
She was born March 1, 1922, in Corona, Queens.
She worked as a cosmetician at Flah's in Poughkeepsie. She also did make up for the County Players in Wappingers Falls and various local fashion shows. She was a member of the Skyllkill Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America, where she was involved in restoring a tapestry at Mills Mansion in Hyde Park.
She is survived by her four children, Claire Muhlbauer, Marianne Muhlbauer, Paul Muhlbauer and Christine Muhlbauer of Wappingers Falls; granddaughters, Krista Corinne Muhlbauer Ferrara and Kimberly Renee Muhlbauer Endres; nephews, William G. Culver and Scott Culver; and niece, Debra Culver Thomson.
The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. Monday at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton St., Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Wappingers Falls.
