BEACON, N.Y. -- Geraldine “Gerry” J. Critelli, 81, of Beacon, died Sunday, Sept. 25.
She was born Dec. 25, 1934, in Beacon, the daughter of the late Anthony and Carmella Abbazzia Seranto.
She worked at Schoonmaker’s Department Store in Beacon, Yankee Trader Gift Shop and Lane’s Jewelers in Beacon.
She was a parishioner of St. Joachim – St. John the Evangelist Church. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution, Melzingah Chapter. She was an avid lover of bingo and also enjoyed going to casinos and playing the slots.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Critelli; daughters, Carol Ann Critelli and Cheryl Critelli-Neubauer and her husband Donald; and brother, Joseph Seranto and his wife Rachel.
She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Carmella Abbazzia Seranto; brother, Peter Seranto; and sister, Mary Seranto Gonzalez.
The family will receive their friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Halvey Funeral Home Inc., 24 Willow St., Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow St., Beacon. Burial will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, Peekskill Road, Cold Spring.
