FISHKILL, N.Y. — Edward James “Jim” Pega, 68, of Fishkill, died Oct. 29.
He was born May 27, 1948, in Cold Spring, the son of the late Edward John and Inez (Heroy) Pega.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He retired in 2002 as a staff engineer from IBM in East Fishkill after 27 years. He was an avid fan of the University of Alabama football team and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed photography, as well as golfing, fishing and bowling. He was a member of the Dalmatian Club of Greater New York and the Rombout Fire Company.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Dillon) Pega; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bernard Dillon and Joan Tomlin, Thomas and Meg Dillon and Daniel and Cathy Dillon.
Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Dalmatian Club of Greater New York.
