POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Dorothy Lorraine Humphrey, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, April 14. She was 73.
She was born on June 15,1942, in Yonkers, to Charles and Marjorie Bell.
She grew up in Hillside Lake and New Hamburg, and resided in Poughkeepsie for many years with her husband. Retired from the Hudson Valley Psychiatric Center since 1991, she worked there as a skilled nurse caring for geriatric patients.
She is survived by her son, Scott Patrick Humphrey of New York City; her brother Charles (Sonny) Bell of Maryland; and sister Carol Lambert of New Paltz, N.Y.
She was predeceased by her husband, John (Jack) Humphrey.
Friends are welcome to join in celebrating her life at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, Thursday April 21, from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
