A registered offender convicted of having sexual contact with two minors has reported an address change in Dutchess County.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 60-year-old Dile George, who has moved from an apartment on Haight Avenue in Poughkeepsie to a residence on Route 44 in Pleasant Valley.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned George as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, George was convicted of indecency with a minor after having sexual contact and intercourse with a 13-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl. He was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety's Sex Offender Registry in April 1994 and convicted later that year. He was sentenced to a term of 12 years in state prison and eight years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie Town Police Department.
