Parking on public roads and streets in town is prohibited from Nov. 1 to April 15 in order to facilitate sanding and plowing during bad weather.

It’s also important to keep the roads clear for emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks.

Anyone violating these rules can be ticketed and could, if found guilty of the traffic infraction, face fines of up to $50 and 15 days behind bars.

Cars will be towed at their owner’s expense.

Residents are also reminded that using a snow blower to dump the white stuff in the middle of the street is not only illegal but could create hazardous icing conditions.
