We asked for your top picks for our DVlicious “Best Soup in Dutchess County” contest and whittled it down to three finalists. Each has been profiled this week with the winner selected Monday, Feb. 22. Here’s a “bowl-ful” rundown on one of them.
Number of Soups Offered: Two daily with at least one or more specials. Among those on the rotation lately: Tomato and Basil, Chicken and Vegetable Chowder, Basil Butternut Squash, Coconut and Cilantro, Loaded Potato, and White Bean and Chicken. Most popular are the squashes, chowders, minestrone, and several types of chicken.
Worth Dishing About: Crew uses premium, local and organic ingredients, with menus that are seasonally updated. Soups are a big seller, with many customers getting soups to go. Co-owner/Chef Thomas Kacherski is CIA-trained as is most of his staff.
