Popular Italian Restaurant To Close In Poughkeepsie

One of the Hudson Valley's top Italian restaurants has announced it is closing its doors for good this weekend.

J. Dominick's Trattoria in Poughkeepsie announced on Thursday, April 20 on Facebook they would serve their final meals on Saturday, April 22.

A favorite for special events and romantic dinners for the past 10 years, the restaurant said: "Thank you for the wonderful memories and cherished friendships."

They did not say why they were closing.

Shortly after the word got out, fans flocked online to say goodbye and lament the closing of the Route 44 hotspot.

"Very sad to see that the restaurant is closing," wrote Tanya Del Zotto Anderson. "The food was always so good. Wishing you all the best."

Reportedly, any special events booked in the future will be honored.
