Roger Young, a member of the Putnam/Westchester Metal Detectorists & Archaeological Society, will lead the program and share his expertise.

"Learn how you can start finding your own treasures," organizers note, "where to find treasure spots, get information on equipment and how to avoid hazards -- even try your hand with a detector on hidden treasures that will be available at the program."

Attendees will be able to view some of Young's finds during the presentation, and others are on display in the library showcase and will be until the end of the month.

The session will be from 6:30-8 p.m. The library is at 348 Route 376, Hopewell Junction. To keep up with library events, visit its website or Facebook page.
