Fishkill Farms in Hopewell Junction Hosts Tomato Palooza

HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. -- Fishkill Farms in Hopewell Junction will celebrate the full swing of summer harvest on Saturday with Tomato Palooza on August 20.

The event will include different varieties of pick-your-own tomatoes out in the field, so guests can be sure to pick what they like and discover some new favorites.

The event will include different varieties of pick-your-own tomatoes out in the field, so guests can be sure to pick what they like and discover some new favorites.

Eleanor's Best, a Hudson Valley Jam and Marmalade Company, will be at the farm store doing a tomato demonstration.

Hayrides will be up and running, and the Fishkill Farms Grill will be cooking up some great barbecue and tomato-themed dishes.

Additionally, a kids' workshop will be taking place, and lawn games will be out on the hillside.

Blackberries, melons and Earligold Apples will also be ready for picking.

The vegetable fields are exploding with tomatoes of all shapes and sizes, eggplants, leafy greens, peppers (both sweet and hot), and so much more, according to a release from Fishkill Farms.

Admission is $8, and children ages 12 and under get in free. Admission is also free for Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members.

The event will be from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
