FISHKILL, N.Y. -- New York State Assemblyman Kieran Michael Lalor (R,C,I - East Fishkill) announced that he will host an event in Fishkill to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the Iwo Jima Flag Raising.
The event, which will support Rebuilding Together Dutchess County Veterans Program, will be Sunday Feb. 28, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Grand Centro Grill, 738 Route 9, Fishkill.
Cost is $30 per person for buffet lunch, cash bar, live music from "The Mighty Flynn," raffles and door prizes.
Sponsorship opportunities include Eagle Sponsor: $1,000, Globe Sponsor: $500 and Anchor Sponsor: $250.
Last year's event raised funds to support the work of Semper Fi Parents of the Hudson Valley.
Rebuilding Together Dutchess County is a nonprofit housing organization committed to partnering with volunteers to provide critical home repairs, accessibility modifications and energy-efficiency improvements for low-income homeowners, particularly those who are older adults, individuals living with a disability, families with children, and active and retired members of the armed services.
These services are provided at no cost to qualified homeowners and focus on ensuring that these homeowners can live independently in safe, warm, dry and healthy homes.
