U.S. News & World Report is a leading expert in the evaluation and rating of healthcare providers across the country. Over 15,000 nursing homes and rehabilitation centers nationwide were evaluated. This year, only 15 percent of nursing homes earned the high performance designation. The results of the report were based on ratings from the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, health inspections, nurse staffing and measures of medical quality of care and rehabilitation therapy.

St. Josephs Place’s administrator Luhdy Isidro, RN, BSN, MPA, LNHA, CALA, attributes this recognition to the extraordinary care and dedication of the entire staff.

“Our compassionate, skilled team members continually strive to provide the highest quality services for our residents and unmatched peace of mind for their families,” said Isidro. “We love our residents like family, and it shows in how we care for them. Being named one of the best nursing homes in the country by U.S. News & World Report is one illustration of our efforts to provide exceptional care to all those we serve.”

St. Josephs Place is a 46-bed, skilled-nursing center dedicated to the highest standard of healthcare excellence and meeting each resident’s needs with compassionate. Through personalized treatment plans, care teams help patients optimize independence. WMCHealth offers residents of the Hudson Valley several award-winning long-term care options that treat and guide patients through a comprehensive array of health services spanning all levels of therapy. Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville, operated by WMCHealth’s HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley in Kingston, has also received a five-star rating for nine consecutive years from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which rates nursing homes nationwide that participate in Medicare or Medicaid; U.S. News & World Report’s five-star “high performance overall” quality rating as one of the country’s Best Nursing Homes; recognition as a Participant facility in the Human Rights Campaign’s LGBTQ Healthcare Equality Index; and the American College of Health Care Administrators’ highest leadership honor, the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award, “for achieving excellence well beyond the five-star rating system.” Additionally, Schervier Pavilion located on the Warwick campus of St. Anthony Community Hospital has received CMS’s five-star rating in overall quality and performance.
