There was midday gridlock on a stretch of I-84 following a crash with a serious injury that blocked the left lane for about an hour on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.

The incident occurred eastbound in Putnam County one mile east of the junction to I-684 (Exit 20).

Stop-and-go delays stretched back three miles until the lane reopened.
